ABA is committed to assisting all parties to comply with their obligations to prevent truck overloading.
To help achieve that, drivers are required to nominate the correct configuration for their vehicle from a Chart at the weighbridge.
Where the actual mass of the vehicle is greater than the legal mass of the nominated configuration, the words "Mass Limit Warning Issued" will print on the weighnote.
When this occurs, ABA expects the vehicle operator to take measures to prevent recurrence.
ABA will monitor vehicle weights and where patterns of habitual overloading are found, will discuss these with those involved.
Failure to adequately address overloading may lead to operator being banned from ABA sites.
