Australian Bulk Alliance (ABA) was formed to provide discerning grain growers an alternative in grain handling and supply chain services in the eastern states grain markets. The company focuses on delivering benefits to customers, continually improving service levels, and enhancing returns to shareholders.
ABA's call to growers is to "Experience the Difference".
Today ABA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Summit Grain Investments Australia Pty Ltd (SGIA), part of the major Japanese conglomerate Sumitomo Corporation.
Originally formed by Grainco Australia Ltd and AusBulk Ltd in 1999 ABA has undergone numerous shareholding changes culminating in SGIA acquiring 100% control in April 2010.

Since its inception ABA has grown substantially.
ABA has 8 country grain receival terminals at Goolgowi, The Rock, Coolamon-Marrar and Tocumwal in southern NSW, Woorinen, Nullawil, Nhill and Tatyoon North in Victoria.
ABA has developed and operates the new Port of Melbourne terminal, which was officially opened 31 August 2000.
ABA is a member of Grain Trade Australia.
ABA is a member of the Grain Industry Association of Victoria.
ABA is AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 certified.
